Warranty and Checking Policy

Warranty and Checking Policy

At LapBazar, products are inspected and tested before sale. This Warranty and Checking Policy explains the checking period, product-specific warranties, covered faults, exclusions and the process for submitting a warranty claim.

30-Day Checking Warranty

Unless a different period is clearly stated on the individual product page, eligible used laptops, tablets and computers purchased from LapBazar include a 30-calendar-day checking warranty.

The checking period begins on the date the customer receives the product or collects it from the LapBazar shop.

Customers should inspect and test the product promptly after receiving it. Any covered issue must be reported to LapBazar within the applicable checking period.

Products With a Longer Warranty

Some products may include a longer product-specific warranty, such as a three-month, six-month or one-year warranty.

A longer warranty applies only where it is clearly stated on:

  • The relevant product page;
  • The customer’s invoice or receipt;
  • The confirmed order details; or
  • A written warranty document provided by LapBazar.

For example, where the HP Elite Dragonfly G4 product page states a one-year warranty, that product will be covered for the stated one-year period according to the terms of this policy and any additional terms stated on its product page or invoice.

A longer warranty does not automatically create a longer return or refund period. Unless otherwise stated, return and refund requests remain subject to LapBazar’s Return and Refund Policy and the applicable checking period.

Warranty Coverage

The warranty covers confirmed functional hardware faults that:

  • Were present when the product was delivered;
  • Develop during the applicable warranty period under normal intended use; and
  • Are not caused by an excluded event listed in this policy.

Depending on the product and the confirmed fault, covered components may include:

  • Motherboard;
  • Processor;
  • Installed memory;
  • Internal storage;
  • Display functionality;
  • Keyboard and touchpad;
  • Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth;
  • Charging functionality;
  • Built-in ports;
  • Speakers;
  • Webcam; and
  • Other internal hardware specifically included in the confirmed product listing.

Coverage depends on inspection and verification by LapBazar or an authorized technician.

Product Condition

LapBazar sells used products and may also sell open-box products where clearly stated.

Used and open-box products may have reasonable cosmetic signs of handling or previous use, including:

  • Light scratches;
  • Minor marks;
  • Small dents;
  • Keyboard shine;
  • Normal body wear; or
  • Other cosmetic signs disclosed in the listing.

Cosmetic conditions disclosed before purchase do not constitute a functional fault and are not covered by the warranty.

Battery Coverage

Laptop and tablet batteries are consumable components whose capacity naturally reduces with age and use.

Unless a specific battery condition or battery-backup duration is guaranteed in writing on the product page or invoice:

  • Battery timing is not guaranteed;
  • Normal reduction in battery capacity is not treated as a hardware fault;
  • Differences caused by brightness, applications, background processes, Wi-Fi use and power settings are not covered; and
  • Replacement of an ageing but functional battery is not included.

A battery may be considered for warranty assessment where it is specifically covered in writing or where LapBazar confirms that it was completely non-functional at the time of delivery.

Charger and Accessories

Chargers, adapters, bags, cables, complimentary items and other accessories are covered only where the product page or invoice expressly states that a warranty applies to them.

Normal cosmetic wear, cable wear and damage caused by improper handling, unsuitable power sources or physical stress are not covered.

Software and Operating System

The warranty primarily covers eligible hardware faults.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not cover:

  • Operating-system preferences;
  • Windows activation issues caused by customer changes;
  • Software installation;
  • Driver configuration;
  • Viruses or malware;
  • Corrupted applications;
  • Data loss;
  • Forgotten passwords;
  • Customer-created user accounts;
  • Compatibility with third-party software;
  • Software licensing; or
  • Problems caused by unofficial or pirated software.

LapBazar may provide reasonable troubleshooting assistance, but software support does not extend or replace the hardware warranty.

Touchscreen, Display and Dead Pixels

Display functionality is covered where a confirmed hardware fault develops during the applicable warranty period and is not caused by impact, pressure, liquid or misuse.

Minor display characteristics that were disclosed before purchase are not treated as faults.

Dead pixels, pressure marks, light bleeding or minor display variation are covered only where:

  • The condition was not disclosed before purchase;
  • It materially affects normal operation; and
  • LapBazar confirms it as an eligible fault after inspection.

Issues Not Covered

The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Accidental drops or impact;
  • Broken casing, hinges or display;
  • Liquid or moisture exposure;
  • Electrical surge or unstable power;
  • Use of an unsuitable charger or adapter;
  • Overheating caused by blocked ventilation;
  • Misuse, neglect or improper handling;
  • Improper installation;
  • Unauthorized repair or inspection;
  • Opening or modifying the product without approval;
  • Replacement or removal of internal components;
  • Customer-installed incompatible hardware;
  • Viruses, malware or software corruption;
  • Overclocking or unsupported firmware changes;
  • Damage during customer-arranged transportation;
  • Theft or loss;
  • Fire, flooding or another external event;
  • Altered or removed serial numbers;
  • Broken or removed warranty seals, where applicable; or
  • Continued use after a fault has become apparent and caused further damage.

The warranty also does not cover a change of mind or a customer’s preference for another model, colour, size, operating system or specification.

Upgrades and Modifications

Customers should contact LapBazar before opening, upgrading or modifying a product during its warranty period.

Installing or replacing RAM or storage does not automatically cancel the entire warranty where the work is performed correctly and causes no damage. However, any fault or damage caused by an unauthorized or improper upgrade will not be covered.

LapBazar may require the original supplied configuration or components to be available for assessment.

Reporting a Warranty Issue

Contact LapBazar as soon as a covered issue appears.

WhatsApp: +92 337 9260270
Email: info@lapbazar.pk

Please provide:

  • Customer name;
  • Order number or invoice;
  • Product name and model;
  • Serial number or service tag;
  • Date of purchase or delivery;
  • Clear description of the fault;
  • Photographs or video showing the issue; and
  • Any troubleshooting already attempted.

LapBazar may ask the customer to complete reasonable troubleshooting before authorizing a return or physical inspection.

Return Authorization

A product must not be sent back without prior authorization from LapBazar.

After reviewing the initial information, LapBazar may:

  • Provide troubleshooting instructions;
  • Ask the customer to visit the shop;
  • Authorize the product to be returned by courier; or
  • Refer the customer to an approved service provider where applicable.

Unauthorized courier parcels may be refused or returned to the sender.

Data Backup and Privacy

Customers must back up and remove personal data before submitting a product for inspection, repair or replacement.

Warranty assessment may require:

  • Starting or resetting the device;
  • Accessing the operating system;
  • Reinstalling software;
  • Formatting storage;
  • Replacing storage; or
  • Restoring factory settings.

LapBazar is not responsible for the loss of personal files, applications, passwords or other data during inspection, repair or replacement.

Customers should remove account passwords where possible or provide temporary access required for testing.

Inspection and Assessment

After receiving the product, LapBazar will inspect and test it.

Assessment may include checking:

  • Serial number and service tag;
  • Physical condition;
  • Internal and external components;
  • Display and touchscreen;
  • Keyboard and touchpad;
  • Storage and memory;
  • Charging and battery;
  • Ports and connectivity;
  • Signs of liquid or impact;
  • Evidence of unauthorized repair; and
  • Whether the reported fault is covered by this policy.

The time required for assessment may depend on the fault, availability of parts, technician availability and whether further testing is required.

LapBazar will communicate the result after the assessment is completed.

Resolution of an Approved Claim

Where a claim is approved, LapBazar may provide an appropriate resolution based on the fault, warranty period, available stock and product condition.

The resolution may include:

  • Repairing the product;
  • Repairing or replacing the affected component;
  • Replacing the product with the same model;
  • Replacing it with an equivalent product of comparable value and specifications;
  • Issuing store credit; or
  • Approving a refund where applicable under the Return and Refund Policy.

Repair or replacement is normally the primary remedy for claims made after the initial checking period under a longer product-specific warranty.

A refund is not automatically available for every warranty claim, particularly after the applicable return period has ended.

Replacement Products

Where the same model is unavailable, LapBazar may offer an equivalent replacement with reasonably comparable specifications and value.

The customer will be informed before a materially different replacement is completed.

A replacement product may continue under the remaining warranty period of the original product unless LapBazar confirms a different warranty in writing.

Repair Parts

Where a repair is approved, LapBazar may use new, used, refurbished or compatible replacement parts that are suitable for the product and provide the required functionality.

Any materially different replacement arrangement will be communicated before completion.

Courier Costs for Warranty Claims

LapBazar will cover or reimburse reasonable courier costs where inspection confirms that:

  • The item was incorrect;
  • The item was materially misdescribed;
  • It had a covered fault at delivery; or
  • The claim is otherwise accepted under this policy.

The customer may be responsible for courier costs where:

  • No covered fault is found;
  • The reported issue is excluded from warranty;
  • The product was damaged after delivery;
  • The product is sent without authorization; or
  • The claim relates to software, preference or unsupported compatibility.

Courier arrangements and reimbursement must be approved before dispatch.

No Fault Found

If testing does not reproduce the reported fault, LapBazar may return the product to the customer.

The customer may be responsible for applicable inspection or courier costs where:

  • No hardware fault is found;
  • The issue is caused by software or configuration;
  • The product functions according to its confirmed specifications; or
  • The issue falls outside the applicable warranty.

Any applicable cost will be communicated before the product is returned.

Warranty Transfer

Unless LapBazar confirms otherwise in writing, a product warranty applies to the original purchaser and order record.

Customers should retain the original invoice, order confirmation or other proof of purchase.

Proof of Purchase

LapBazar may require valid proof of purchase before processing a warranty claim.

Acceptable proof may include:

  • LapBazar invoice;
  • Order confirmation;
  • Payment record;
  • Receipt;
  • Customer account order history; or
  • Another record that LapBazar can verify.

Relationship With the Return and Refund Policy

This Warranty and Checking Policy should be read together with LapBazar’s Return and Refund Policy.

The Return and Refund Policy governs:

  • Return eligibility;
  • Refund requests;
  • Order cancellation;
  • Return conditions;
  • Approved deductions; and
  • Refund processing.

Where a product page contains product-specific warranty terms, those specific terms apply in addition to this general policy.
